15 affirmations to pray over our kids!
I know I have talked here before about the importance of the words we speak and how we speak them, especially to our kids. It is a firm belief I have, so I’ll probably talk about it often. I do believe our words hold a lot of weight. The Bible tells us over and over to watch WHAT and HOW we speak to each other.
The words of the godly are a life-giving fountain; the words of the wicked conceal violent intentions.
Proverbs 10:11
Gentle words are a tree of life; a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit. Proverbs 15:4
The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences. Proverbs 18:21
Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut, and you will stay out of trouble. Proverbs 21:23
Just to name a few. 🙂
As mom’s we set the tone of our houses. It’s definitely NOT an easy task, which is why I firmly believe there is so much scripture telling us how to speak and treat each other… Not just for us mom’s, but for all of us who are raising people. And us mom’s are 100% doing just that. So it has to start in our homes, and I believe it starts with us mom’s.
We are in fact raising the next generation of leaders. The people who will lead our country, our churches, and our future homes. Doing it well will create healthy, confident people who can lead us deeper into God’s plan. And who knows what that future plan is! One thing I think we can all agree on is that our world needs some radical change… revival in the land. That kind of change will require strong, kind, compassionate, driven people. These are the people we are called to raise, for such a time as this. I believe our words play a big role in how we shape our tiny humans. It’s by all means not the ONLY thing that will shape them… don’t read into my words! But it is ONE key contributor to the rasing leaders party! 🙂
Because of this, I decided to compile a list of Biblical affirmations that we pray or speak over our kids, and I want to share them with you!
