Knowing I’m enough when I’m burned out…
Has the keeping of many, many, many, many… etc, things been weighing on anyone else lately? Seriously asking for myself, not my friend.
I feel like every spring, as school is wrapping up, and summer is approaching, all the things that I “keep” begin to overtake me. It’s like all the dirty shirts and pants start to walk around and climb the walls. Then the clean ones do the same, they meet up in the hallway and have a good hang sesh.
The assignments for school get longer and looooonger.
You’re (if you homeschool) wrapping up one year of school while shopping and planning for next year.
The kids fight all the time, don’t sleep, or both.
All the extracurriculars are ramping up, cause it’s spring, after all!
If you work outside of the home… you also have ALL of that.
It’s hard to find the (already elusive) time to take care of your body, heart, and soul.
Every hour of every day is full.
And I don’t know about you, but I don’t feel like I am enough.
I am 100% there, sis, and I’m certain I am not alone. So let’s have a pep talk real quick. I’m going to start here:

God created us in His image and He is certainly enough.

We aren’t God, but He does send us His helper, the Holy Spirit, who is with us 100% of the time.

We are capable!

When we are lonely, we can remember that we are seen.

And we aren’t alone. We have each other, fellow sister, keeper, friends who are on this very same draining road with us.

We have each other, even if we aren’t physically together, we are on this journey together. And there is power in numbers! So let’s be the ones who tell the enemy to stick it, and then rise together to greet the laundry and tantrums with joy. Because our joy is found in the One whom the enemy can’t stand against. And HE is the One who calls us enough, covered, capable and seen.
Now, what do we do? We do what we can TODAY. Guess what!? Tomorrow will come tomorrow, and the laundry is perfectly happy in its hallway hang sesh until we’re ready for it again.
Do what you can today, sis, AND don’t let the enemy steal your joy and rob you of the truth.
Love you, keeper, friends! Leave me a comment and let me know that I’m not alone!
XO – Crystal
MY LIFE! Thank you so much for sharing this. I want to finish this school year well. Your post felt like the sweet nudge I needed!
That just hit the nail on the head! Definitely feel like the enemy tries to creep in and fill our head with lies of inadequacy & doubt, such a good reminder of Who are strength and capabilities do in fact come from!🙌
Crystal you are not alone..ever. I am a proud 55 year old mom with 2 beautiful children…God helped me raise…I pray for them daily and help them still to this day….without God’s love and mercy I know in my heart I wouldn’t be able to provide and do things for my children. HE IS MY STRENGTH!!!
I can SO relate to every word of this! It’s a downhill ride from here, but there’s no seatbelts!! Haha
I’m thankful for God’s Word being true and alive and SO thankful for my tribe that continue to encourage!
